PEOPLE will be taught how to potentially save a life during free training at the University of Worcester.

The training will be provided by Bullfrog Training at The Hanger on Saturday, July 13.

Organisers are currently looking for companies to donate prizes for a raffle.

Amy Shadbolt, a student paramedic at The University of Worcester, said: "Basic life support training enables individuals to recognise life-threatening emergencies, equipping them with the appropriate skills and confidence to respond in an emergency.

"In an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, early intervention such as bystander CPR and defibrillation dramatically increases their chance of survival.

Worcester News:

"Anyone can perform CPR and use a public defib, without training - but doing events like this are key to raising awareness, helping ensure effective technique is learnt when performing CPR and giving members of the public confidence in their ability to provide life-saving intervention if it was necessary."
