POLICE were called to reports of concern for a man's safety near a Worcestershire village.

A police van was spotted parked on the A442 Kidderminster Road just before the turn for The Knoll, near Cutnall Green.

Police officers were seen attending to a man on the side of the road at around 6.40am this morning (Friday).

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We were called at around 6.25am to Cutnall Green this morning following reports of a concern for someone’s safety.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service said a man was assessed after sustaining injuries not thought to be serious before he was discharged at the scene.

A spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.40am to a patient who had fallen nearby to the junction of the A442 and The Knoll in Cutnall Green, Droitwich.

"One ambulance attended the scene.

"Upon arrival we found a man who was assessed and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious.

"He declined further treatment from ambulance staff and received self care advice before being discharged at the scene.”
