A GENEROUS charity worker from Worcester raised £1,200 by going under the clippers last week.

Finance assistant at Leukaemia CARE’s Worcester headquarters Greg Martin had his head shaved on Friday, January 31 to raise money towards a £2,500 pledge to run the London Marathon in April.

Mr Martin said: “As an employee of the charity I am very aware of the side effects that can come as a result of treatment, including hair loss, and the profound effects it can have on people’s emotions and the way it makes them feel about themselves and others.

“With your support, shaving off my own hair means I will hopefully be able to raise some vital funds, as well as raise awareness of the side effects of treatment.”
