YOUNGSTERS from a Worcester school stepped out of the classroom and into the kitchen to try their hands at making pizzas.
The pupils from year four at RGS Springfield went to Pizza Express as part of their studies into all things Italian.
Teacher Neil Delaney said as well as studying the country, pupils had been finding out about food and its origins which had sparked the idea for a trip to see how pizza was made.
He said: "The class will be learning about volcanoes and Vesuvius so didn't want to miss the chance to experiment with Naples's signature dish."
The pupils from the Britannia Square school shaped the pizza dough and added toppings before sampling some of their hard work at the restaurant in College Street, Worcester, and taking some of their pizzas back to school.
