PROTESTERS took to the streets to demonstrate against a controversial firm which currently carries out the 'fitness for work' tests on disabled benefit claimants.

Activists from across Herefordshire and Worcestershire assembled outside the Atos assessment centre in Farrier Street, Worcester, on Wednesday to coincide with other demonstrations around the country.

They also marched to Worcester Bridge and the Guildhall.

Rich Morris, who is campaigning against Atos in Worcester, said: "The group wants to send a clear message to the public and the vulnerable that they are not alone and a message to government that we will not stand-by as innocent people are targeted in this way."
