MORE than 100 students were treated to a live performance to help their studies.

The Swan Theatre Amateur Company took their production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons to RGS Worcester for an evening performance on Thursday, March 6.

The play is a set book for some of the school's year 11 English literature students and the RGS English department jumped at the chance to arrange for the production to visit their theatre.

Richard Hawking, a member of RGS English department, said: "One of the key areas they need to explore in their upcoming examination is the theatricality of Miller’s play, so we warmly welcome the opportunity the Swan Theatre Amateur Company are providing RGS students with their one-off touring performance of All My Sons."

The company's director, Tim Crow, said:

“We discussed the challenges of moving the play - cast and scenery – to the school before the first night in the studio but they were quite easily overcome.

"It gives us an opportunity to reach a new audience, who will no doubt followed the script very closely, and the actors felt the benefit of responding to an audience’s reactions after several months of hard work in rehearsals.”

All My Sons runs in the Swan Theatre until Saturday, March 15 and tickets are £8.50, concessions £7.50.
