LOVERS of the Malvern Hills are being urged to help shape the Conservators’ future policies – via postcard.

The Conservators are writing a new land management plan, and is appealing to residents and visitors to pick up special postcards from venues around the hills and share their thoughts.

The postcard campaign is the first of several consultations on the plan, which will define how the hills and commons will be managed over the next five years.

The postcard asks two questions: what are the most important features of the Malvern Hills, and what are the main issues facing the Conservators today?

People can jot down their answers and post the cards – free of charge – back to the Conservators.

Conservation officer Jonathan Bills said: “Postcards are bright and snappy and we hope that lots of people – not just residents but visitors from further afield – will take a few minutes to share their thoughts with us.”

The postcards, bearing an atmospheric photo of the Malverns range, are available from the Conservators’ office, Grange Road, Malvern, and the tourist information centres in Malvern and Ledbury.

They can also be found at the post offices in Colwall and Welland, The Swan Inn, Newland, The Old Bush, Callow End, the Wyche Innovation Centre and the Elim Cafe, West Malvern.

People can also log on to malverhills.org.uk and leave their views on the “Land Management Consultation – Your Views” section.

The deadline for the consultation is Wednesday, April 30.

Any chance they could drag themselves into the 21st century and also do an online version?

What we all want is a line of Wind Turbines running the length of the Malvern Hills Ridge... Oh, and a new massive swimming pool in Worcester... I think I better write "NOT!" in capitals at the end... + What CJH said..
