A POLICE car has been involved in a crash on a major road going into Worcester.
Diversions are currently in place on the Ombersley Road following the collision which happened at the junction of Cornmeadow Lane at about 11.15am today.
The crash involved a marked police vehicle and a silver Seat Exeo.
Both vehicles left the road and crashed into a garden wall of a home on the road.
A 51-year-old local woman, who was driving the Seat, was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Worcester Royal Hospital as a precaution.
No one else was injured in collision.
The police vehicle was responding to an incident at the time of the crash.
Road diversions are in place for traffic travelling towards the city whilst the emergency services respond to the incident and an investigation is carried out.
