A NEW initiative will showcase some of the best visual arts when it opens to the public this month.
Art at County Hall takes place just outside the Council Chamber in the home of Worcestershire County Council in Spetchley Road, Worcester, and the first exhibition will feature work from the Clik Clik Collective arts venture and Pershore glass artist Claudia Wiegand.
Their work will be on display from Saturday, May 24 to Tuesday, September 30.
Steve Wilson, the county council's arts officer, said: "Art at County Hall is a new initiative to bring some of the county's artists into County Hall and to showcase their work.
"We hope that the space will be a great talking point for both visitors and staff at County Hall and we are delighted that we have the Clik Clik Collective work as part of our opening."
The collective is led by Kate Cox, who will be representing a group of local artists including Sarah Melville, Jose Santos, Marcia Pheysey-Wilton, Zara Hilton and Amy Birch.
