PEOPLE in Worcestershire and across the UK are being encouraged to think about how they would like to be remembered after they die.
As part of this week’s Dying Matters Awareness Week, Macmillan Cancer Support has launched a Live Your Legacy campaign encouraging people to keep and up-to-date will.
The charity is calling on people to record a 10 second clip and upload it to Twitter using the hashtags #LYL and #YODO while copying in @Remembermac.
Macmillan’s cancer support mass planning manager Danielle Tanner said: “Death is something we all have in common, yet it is a subject that few of us like to talk about.
“We wanted to flip this taboo topic on its head and focus on something positive that people are happy to share – their legacy and the way they would like to be remembered.”
Legacy donations make up about a third of Macmillan’s total income but it is estimated 32.5 million people in the UK do not currently have a will.
