Bye Street is closed in both directions due to the incident, which saw the bus strike a building between A438 The Homend and Bridge Street.
The crash was reported at 6.25am after the double decker bus, a Stagecoach vehicle, crashed into the town's library.
No one was injured in the incident and no other vehicle was involved.
