A HOMELESS man has been jailed for breaching an order preventing him from entering parts of Worcester.

Peter Swinbourne was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison on Monday, August 25 after he breached a Criminal Anti-Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO) by acting in a threatening and abusive manner in the Deansway area of Worcester.

The court heard the 42-year-old had also breached the order on Wednesday, August 20 and two days later by being within the area he was banned from entering and by making threats, acting aggressively and swearing.

Community Harm Co-Ordinator at West Mercia Police Jenny Willems said: “By proactively enforcing the CRASBO’s against Swinbourne, we have shown that his actions are not acceptable and have a negative impact on society.

“It is hoped that the time away will help him to reflect and look to turn his life around.”
