A BRIGHTLY coloured big top will fill the playing fields of a school as the circus comes to the city.

Happy's Circus will be setting up its big top for two nights at Cherry Orchard Primary School as part of the all-human circus' countrywide tour.

Death-defying stunts, amazing acrobatics and comedy from the clowns will delight families on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1.

To get everyone in the mood, there will be a mini fayre in the playground with various games, stalls and food available.

Headmaster Michael Painter said: “Children and adults alike are dazzled by the magic and mystery of the travelling circus and so Cherry Orchard are pleased to welcome Happy’s Circus to Worcester.

"With a wide variety of side events, food stalls and face painting also planned, a visit to the circus offers a great family night out, so we look forward to welcoming one and all to the school."

It is open to everyone, not just pupils, and gates open at 4.30pm.
