THERE is still time to take part in this year's firewalk in aid of blind and visually sighted people in Worcestershire.

The event, which is being held on Friday, February 21, will see about 40 people quite literally hot foot it across 20 feet of burning embers to raise money for Sight Concern Worcestershire.

Building on the success of previous years the latest event, which is being sponsored by the Worcester Bosch Group, takes place at the Pavilion in the Park bar in Cripplegate Park.

Keith Hoare, fundraising officer for Sight Concern Worcestershire, said: “Firewalking is a test of your mind and body, and we are challenging members of the local community to put themselves to the test. It is the perfect New Year challenge and it’s also a really enjoyable evening, so why not come along to give your support.”
