CHILDREN enjoyed a special creative writing day to welcome them back at the start of the new school term.

Pupils of all ages at The Grove Primary School, in Pickersleigh Grove, Malvern, took part in the event.

The theme for the day was 'The Treasure Chest' and teacher Gemma Parker said: " It was a marvellous chance for the children to use their imaginations to produce wonderful creative writing, which was then displayed in school for parents to see.

"Well done to all of the writers."
