About time, another example of EA incompetence that they let a telephone provider cream 40p a minute from those affected by flooding. Everyone should spread the word about this.

Continue to call the 0845 number only if you are on "BT Weekend" or "BT Evening and Weekend" (or a landline provider that copies those BT prices) and you are making a call during a weekday and you therefore have to pay for it, or you are on "Vodafone pay as you go".

Almost everyone else should call the new 0345 number and this applies whether using a landline or a mobile.

All callers with an inclusive call plan on their landline or mobile will find that calls to 0345 numbers are inclusive within their calls allowance.

Mobile users on pay as you go pay less for 0345 calls than for 0845 calls (except Vodafone charges 0845 calls at a discounted rate).
