CONCERNED villagers will be able to view plans for two proposed housing developments this weekend.

Kempsey Parish Council is hosting a public consultation in the community centre, Main Road, Kempsey, near Worcester, from 11am to 3pmon Saturday and Sunday, February 8-9 to allow people the chance to view two planning applications which have been submitted to Malvern Hills District Council.

The first is St Modwen Developments' outline proposal to build up to 255 dwellings on land north of Taylors Lane and south of the A4440 Broomhall Way, Worcester.

It would also come with employment land, access, footpaths, cycleways, highway infrastructure, a pedestrian/cycle bridge over the A4440, public open space, landscaping and associated development and drainage.

The second is for the outline application from Linden Homes to develop up to 110 dwellings on land to the south of the Lawns and Meadow Close, Old Road South, Kempsey.

Some 40 per cent of the dwellings would be affordable homes and the plans include access and public open space with play facilities and landscaping.
