HELP children discover Worcester on historic walking tours through the city this half term.

Starting tomorrow (Saturday, February 15), there are 27 walks planned on different themes for people wanting to learn about the different pasts of our Faithful City while getting active.

Some of the topics the Discover History tour guides will look at are Women of Worcester, Saints and Sinners, Royal visits Edward Elgar and the river Severn. There is also a pub tour and a Secrets of the Old town tour which will be running in conjunction with the Love Worcester festival, and a number of new tours too including The Early Story, which concentrates on the origins of the city, from woolly mammoth hunters, to early farming folk and to Roman legions and Danish raiders, and Wartime Worcester, which looks at both the city in WWI and WWII.

The meeting place for all tours, which cost up to £6 per person, is the front of the guildhall and a full list of tours and times can be found by calling Discover History on 07949 222137 or by emailing discoverhistory@aol.com.
