A TEENAGE girl has been treated by ambulance crews after she was hit by a car in Hereford.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident on Belmont Road shortly before 7.25pm yesterday.

An ambulance, a paramedic area support officer and the Trust’s MERIT rapid response vehicle, carrying a critical care paramedic and a trauma doctor, were dispatched to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews were called to reports of a child that had been in collision with a car.

“The teenage girl was treated at the scene for a head injury and conveyed to Hereford County Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

“The hospital was pre-alerted and medics were on standby awaiting the arrival of the girl.

“No one else was injured in this incident."
