MEMBERS of the MSJ Sports and Fitness Centre in Malvern will be raising a sweat next Friday (February 21) in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Participants will be dressing up in red to take part in classes including spin, yoga, pilates, legs, bums and tums, a BHF bootcamp and a zumba party.

And individual fitness buffs can contribute by helping to reach a distance target - the perimeter of Worcestershire at 354 kilometres - by walking, running, cycling, swimming or even rowing.

All participants are asked to donate on the day, there will be a cake sale and other activities during the day and an evening of entertainment with live music, a bar, an auction and other prizes. The evening event starts at 7.30pm and admission is free. All the action will take place at the centre on Barnards Green Road, Malvern.

This is the fifth year the centre has taken part in the challenge, and manager Simon Vaughan said: “We are supporting BHF again this year because we want to help them to fund the research that is so urgently needed to fight heart disease. The staff here are always willing to put in the hard work for such a good cause and we all have a lot of fun making it happen.”
