AN EXPLOSION of colour greeted visitors to a picturesque Worcestershire woodland over the bank holiday weekend.
Young and old flocked to Shrawley Wood along the River Severn to see the seasonal display of bluebells filling the 450-acre woodland, which is run by the Forestry Commission.
On Sunday and Monday visitors to the woodland enjoyed plant stalls and an art exhibition in the village church as well as a children's treasure trail, with all proceeds going towards Shrawley Village Hall.
Bluebells are expected to be on show throughout May, before receding for another year as the summer gets underway.
