A VARIETY of headwear from straw hats to bandanas were donned to mark the end of a week to raise awareness of brain injuries.

Staff, volunteers and users of Headway, Gregory's Mill Street, Barbourne searched through their wardrobes to find wacky hats and head wear to mark the end of Action for Brain Injury Week.

Throughout the week, there had been open days and a seminar as well as campaigning about the effect of benefit and funding cuts.

Chief executive Mel Akers said: "It was the conclusion of Action for Brain Injury Week and we various events running.

"Friday was a bit of fun to mark the end of the week.

"Everyone joined in, there were allsorts of hats - straw hats, Crocodile Dundee hats, hats they had made themselves."
