MEMBERS of a contemporary choir experienced the magic of Disney as they entertained the crowds across the channel.

Rock Choir singers from Worcester, Malvern and Droitwich were among a cast of about 200 voices to perform to an audience from across the world in the Videopolis Theatre at Disneyland Paris.

They sang a programme of classic tracks, including Something Inside So Strong, Ain’t No Mountain and You’re the Voice.

Rock Choir leader, Helen Just, who runs weekly sessions in Droitwich, Malvern and Worcester was thrilled with the performances of the choir members.

Ms Just said: “We wanted to give the members an experience they would never forget and their enthusiasm shone through so well in their performances and really helped to get the crowds going.

"The response from the audience was amazing.”

The singers also surprised their fellow ferry passengers with a flash mob on the crossing, performing Bon Jovi's Livin’ on a Prayer, and they completed their weekend by singing at the world famous Notre Dame.

Rock Choir is the UK’s largest contemporary choir, with more than 16,000 members in more 300 local communities.

There are no auditions and no requirements to read music or have any previous singing experience.
