FIREFIGHTERS are currently at the scene of a fire in a woodburner and chimney at a house in Monks Way, Peopleton, near Pershore.

The crews from Worcester and Pershore were called to the scene at about 2.40pm and removed the woodburner and tackled the flames in the chimney and fireplace using an aerial platform, two hose reels and a thermal imaging camera.

They have also lifted floorboards in the house to ensure the flames were fully extinguished.

No one has been hurt in the fire.
