THIRTEEN hours of non-stop music are among the attractions in Cradley when the village holds its fete next Saturday, July 12.

The Musicathon in the village church starts at 11am and runs until midnight and highlights include a scratch production of The Sound of Music and a singalong screening of Abba musical film Mamma Mia.

And in between, solo performers and groups will keep the music going as part of the fundraising effort for the village church.

The fete itself runs from 11am to 5pm in the church ground and village hall, with stalls galore, including plants, cakes, books, tombola and crafts.

Toys, bric-a-brac, clothes, gifts and jewellery will also be on sale, and there will be a dog show, children's games and more.

And to keep fete-goers refreshed, there will be a bar, barbecue and food available all day.

Money raised from the event will hep pay for much-needed repairs to the church tower and north aisle floor, and redecoration of the village hall.

Rehearsals for The Sound of Music will be from 3.30pm to 5.30pm in the hall, with the public concert at 6pm in the church. It costs £10 to take part and it is free for children.

And the Mamma Mia screening is at 10pm.
