TWO women and a dog had to be rescued from the River Severn this afternoon.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called to the river near Holt Fleet at 1.40pm to reports of a dog stuck in the river.
However, when crews arrived they found two women that had gone in after the dog also trapped.
Boats and a rescue sled were used and the women were checked over by ambulance crews, but they did not require hospital treatment.
