MOVE over Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry as The Great Barbourne Bake Off promises to be the icing on the cake at summer fair.

Hungry judges will have the envious job of tasting the best cakes made by experienced bakers during St George's Summer Fair on Saturday.

There are three categories - bread, scones and cupcakes, and entries cost £2 adults and £1 children.

The fair in St George's Square and the church will be brimming with skill as the annual Barbourne's Got Talent will also be held during the event.

From singers to dancers, people will be demonstrating their talents for the chance to win £50 during the competition inspired by popular ITV show Britain's Got Talent.

Reverend Jo Musson said: "Our fair is a wonderful annual event which many people look forward to.

"We hope lots of people will come and join us for a fabulous afternoon, which is sure to be full of fun."

There will also be stalls, a grand raffle, games and a KidZone along with Pimms, cider and a barbecue.

The event will take place from 12pm to 4pm. Cakes can be dropped off between 12pm and 12.15pm.

Money raised during the fair will go to St George's Church, Barbourne.
