A MAN has been arrested after a fight outside a city centre pub in Worcester.
Police were called at 7.45pm yesterday (Sunday) to the incident outside the Hand in Glove, College Street, after reports of a fight between two men.
A 29-year-old man from Worcester, who was seen welding an axe, was arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of attempting to wound with intent to do grievous bodily harm (GBH) and is now in custody.
A 32-year-old man from Worcester suffered slight injuries, but these were not caused by the axe.
The two men are thought to be known to each other.
An eye-witness, who did not want to be named, said: "Many people saw it. It was absolutely shocking to watch. We thought we were witnessing a Lee Rigby scene."
