POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an attack in Kidderminster town centre on Friday night in which two men were assaulted by three others.

A man and his girlfriend were walking through the Dunelm Mill car park off New Road at about 11.20pm on July 25 when they saw another man being assaulted by three men. A woman was also stood nearby ‘encouraging’ them.

The couple went over and tried to help the victim off the floor, but the man was pushed over and assaulted with as glass object before his girlfriend managed to get the first man off the floor and two a nearby taxi rank.

The second victim suffered significant facial injuries and his girlfriend broke a finger. Both had to be taken to hospital.

The first man remains unknown and did not report the attack and police have appealed to him or anyone who knows who he is to contact them.

He is described as white, in his 20s, slim and about six feet tall with short blond hair.
