HELP for Heroes volunteers have been celebrating after raising £820 at this year's Worcester Artillery day.

The group went along to the event, which was held at Pitchcroft Racecourse in Worcester on Saturday (Aug 16).

They raised the cash through merchandise sales and kind donations from the public.

The event also provided an opportunity to extend a very warm welcome to Jane and Bethany Mullaly who have recently joined the Worcester team as volunteers.

Ian Baldry, Worcestershire County coordinator for Help for Heroes, said: "Worcester Artillery Day was held to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of 214(Worcestershire)Battery, Royal Artillery.

"Given the very close support that members of 104 Regiment 214 Battery have given to Help for Heroes over the last six years and a half years we were delighted to see the very genuine warmth and appreciation shown to them by the public for what was for them quite rightly a very special occasion indeed."
