TWO people had to be rescued after their car and trailer became stuck in Shell Ford, Himbleton, near Droitwich.

A boat was launched by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service to reach the pair at just after 10am this morning.

A spokesman for the fire service said: "Please check depth gauges when considering driving through Fords, only an egg cup full of water sucked into the engine is enough to ruin it."

This seems to happen everytime it rains. Either the signage is inadequate or people just have no sense.

Signs are fine, in fact they are overreading the depth by about 3 to 6 inches so the second option I think
