AUSTRALIAN stunt man Matt Coulter cut his trip to Hollywood short to speak at a so-called "Kangaroo Supper", which was held by Hanbury Countryside Show Society.

Bradley Green Village Hall was packed with locals and visitors from afar afield as Lincolnshire and they were not disappointed.

Kangaroo was not actually on the menu, which consisted of Australian chilli, baked potato, assorted salads, Fruit crumble and cream.

Event spokesman, Clare Foster said: "Mr Coulter then spoke about his adventures as the World`s leading quad bike stunt man.

"Tales included his World Record set with a deaf and blind quad rider, his time on the UK show circuit and stories of working with Angelina Jolie and Brendan Fraser on the film sets of Tomb Raider and The Mummy Returns."

During the evening the prize draw, which had been running all year, was held for the Shepherd Hut that had been donated by Riverside Shepherd Huts.

The winner was a Mrs Rudge, who received a phone call from the Australian stunt man congratulating her on her win,

At the supper, Society president Jean Dowty, presented the Midland Air Ambulance a cheque for £1000 as a donation.

Air Ambulance representative, Jenny Ashman said, “I was delighted to receive the generous gift of £1000 from the Hanbury Show. We greatly appreciate the continued support of the country folk who have great need of this vital emergency service. Occasionally if there is a trauma incident three miles from the main road the there is only one way out and that is when we come into our own.”

The next Hanbury Countryside Show will be held on the July 4, 2015. Further details on - www.hanburyshow.co.uk
