TRAVELLERS have now moved on from a site near Worcestershire Royal Hospital, where they had been since Saturday, April 18.
An encampment of around 15 caravans set up on a field off Newtown Road, close to Worcestershire Royal Hospital. Henry Berkeley, who owns the site backing onto the Perry Manor Care Home, revealed on Friday that he had taken legal action in order to evict the group.
It was expected to take up to two weeks for the travellers to be evicted from the site, but they have now moved on.
Earlier this week, your Worcester News reported how readers' opinions on the travellers' arrival was divided.
Some called for authorities to "leave them be," while others asked "who is going to pay for the eviction and clean up?".
