PACKETS of peanuts have been pulled from shelves of a budget supermarket - because they do not say peanuts on the packet.
Lidl is recalling its 200g bags of Alesto Honey Peanuts because peanuts are not declared in English on a small number of packets.
The affected bags have a best before date of 02.2017 only.
It is feared that the packets may pose a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to peanut.
Anyone who has bought the product and has an allergy to peanuts is warned not to eat it.
Instead, return it to a Lidl store for a full refund.
Other Alesto products are not affected by this recall.
Any customers with queries or concerns can call customer services on 0370 444 1234.
