PACKETS of gammon were among the items stolen by two shoplifters from a shop in Kempsey's Church Street.

A man went into the shop just after 12.30pm on Sunday and put the packets of gammon into an empty carrier bag he was carrying.

He was then joined by a woman who pointed to goods for the man to put into the carrier bag. As they left, the man also picked up a a bouquet of flowers.

The man is described as white, short and stocky, with black hair shaved at the sides, and wearing dark trousers or jeans and a black checked jacket.

The woman is described as white, about five feet four, with brown hair dyed blonde at the front, aged 25 to 30, and wearing gold leggings, boots and a khaki jacket.
