A WORCESTER church is set to hold its annual summer fair and talent contest this weekend.

Saint George’s Church, Barbourne, will see an array of stalls, food and drink and the popular Barbourne’s Got Talent competition.

The church is inviting adults and children to showcase their talent with a £50 cash prize up for grabs. The winning entry will also be the opening act at Worcester's Youthcomm Minifest.

Event organiser Elisabeth Witter said: "Come down to the fair for a great afternoon of relaxed family entertainment. Enter the talent competition, watch the acts, enjoy a drink of Pimms or local cider and soak in the community atmosphere."

The event on Saturday, July 8 is taking place between noon and 4pm.

Last year's event raised more than £3,000 towards outreach projects and church refurbishments.
