POLICE are appealing for information after an elderly person's home was burgled in Kidderminster.

The 74-year-old woman was not at home at the time of the burglary in Hurcott Road which occurred between 2pm and 4.20pm on Tuesday April 26.

The offender is believed to have forced entry to the property through the back door.

A significant quantity of cash and some jewellery was taken.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "This burglary targeted a vulnerable older woman who was living alone and we are hoping that someone will be able to help us identify the offender to bring them to justice.
