GAS installers will have the opportunity to learn more about developments in heating technology at events hosted by boiler manufacturer Worcester Bosch this month and next.
Government legislation aimed at tackling the energy crisis will come into force in April 2005 and will affect every homeowner installing a boiler.
The series of regional events have been developed to help gas installers get up to date with Government plans and learn more about energy issues to help advise their customers.
"These events have been put together to help local gas installers help their customers," said Mark Martin, Worcester Bosch business manager.
Worcester Bosch will be advising Worcester gas installers on Thursday, December 2 at the Poachers Pocket in Cotswold Way, Warndon.
Other events are taking place in Dudley and Evesham. For more information call Mark Martin on 07767 432563.
"Research shows that when homeowners are choosing a boiler they rely on the installer to make a recommendation.
"Attending events such as this will arm them with the information they need about environment changes, building regulations changes and the choice of technology on the market."
From April all new and replacement boilers will have to be SEDBUK A or B rated. These changes are to help reduce CO2 emissions by 60% by the year 2050.
