We are on a roll!

Well we have had a busier week this week. On Tuesday, Pat and I attended Hampton Ferry for the launch of Evesham’s first Community mini-bus which has been christened Topsy. This name came about because the previous owner’s name was Mrs Turvey.

The official launch was carried out by Peter Luff MP. Evesham Town Council made a donation towards this project. This event was followed by lunch at Raphael’s restaurant.

The next appointment was on Thursday, when we opened a new shop in Bridge Street. It was a real pleasure to open a new business in the town. So a hearty welcome to British Bookshops and Stationers.

This was followed by a second new shop opening on Saturday when we opened the new Sue Ryder Charity Shop in the High Street. We were helped in the opening by a display of dancing by the Mini Mezzos.

I would still like to know what those dancers are on. Where do they get their energy? Can I have some?

On Friday I held my Ferret Racing charity event that was well supported by local people and dignitaries from the surrounding area.

Many thanks to Diana and Robbie Raphael for the use of their tent and services.

On Saturday we were at the International Fishing Competition.

I had the honour to present the Shakespeare Championship Trophy to the winner, along with several other large cash prizes and trophies.

It would seem that Evesham is now being recognised as a place that is on its way up and is a place that will prosper.

We had a large International Event and two new businesses that have opened up this week. Let us hope that the ball will continue to roll and we have the pleasure of welcoming more new business and events to this very attractive town of ours.
