Three local schools win top award

THREE local schools are celebrating after achieving a top national award.

Hanley Castle High School, Hanley Swan Primary and Eldersfield Primary have been awarded the coveted Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) in recognition of their ‘first-rate engagement with parents and carers’.

Worcestershire County Council’s extended services team has been working with local schools over the past 18 months to help them strengthen relationships and identify areas for improvements.

Parent engagement advisor Rachel Adams said: “All of the schools involved in this fantastic scheme have found the LPPA process to be very useful. Those who have achieved the award are to be congratulated for doing so in such a short space of time.”

A total of 34 schools across the county achieved LPPA status, and the programme will now be rolled out to 20 more starting this month.
