TICK tock- there is only three days left to nominate the best teachers, most outstanding schools and brilliant community groups that Worcestershire has to offer.

The 2018 Worcestershire Education Awards, run by the Worcester News in partnership with the University of Worcester, shine a well-deserved spotlight on those working tirelessly to inspire our children and young people.

But your favourite teacher or school needs to be in it, to win it - and you only have until Friday to get nominations in.

We’ve received hundreds of nominations for childmind - ers, teachers or training pro - viders, volunteers and com - munity sports teams.

People working in educational roles within charities or businesses may also be eligible for one of our awards.

Worcester News Editor Michael Purton said: “We are absolutely delighted by the amount of nominations that have rolled in over the past few weeks. We have been overwhelmed by the support of Worcestershire’s schools, colleges, educational establishments and community groups.

“We can’t wait to start going through the applications and start shortlisting our finalists.”

This year’s awards follows the success of the inaugural Worcestershire Education Awards in 2017.
