At Sixways on Saturday, the Warriors didn't win but they were up against a club side who are a class above any I have seen play before and that includes all the current premiership sides. Their
second 15 had 10 internationals in it!!! The Warriors can't match that sort of strength in depth but few clubs can. That's why Clermont Auvergne are 2nd in the French league...But for the Warriors,
Gavin Quinnell scored again, he is our top scorer and a legend, as did Drew Hickey and penalty try....
The day began with 3 of the Warriors serving in the Supporters Club bar, Tony Window Ben Gotting and Nick Runciman all came and 'got in the way' of the proper bar staff... After there was chance to
meet some of the other players not selected for the game, because of injury. Dale Rasmussen, James Collins Miguel Avramovic and Richard Blaze happily chatted with fans after the game. Along with some
of the Clermont Auvergne fans who had made the long trip from France.
Things may not be going as planned at Sixways but the players are always ready to chat to their support. It seems half of the squad are all Xbox demons and play against each other on various games.
Nothing to do with being the competitive sorts at me thinks...
So it's off to Viadana next week for some, whilst the rest of us will be glued to the radio cheering on the Warriors... Then back to the more serious challenge of staying in the Premiership, Wasps
and then Tigers both at home. We have beaten them both at home before so fingers crossed we can do it again.
