Good heavens the Warriors won at home!!

What a relief!! It was a good game too, the Worcester pack played very well and really disrupted the Bath scrums and especially the lineouts. There several players who have stood out this season for their contributions, Dale Rasumussen, Kai Horstmann, Matt Powell, Craig Gillies, Gary Trueman, and Shane Drahm to name but a few. I could name all the forwards at the club as they all have been superb of late.

On Saturday the whole team really put the work in and it finally paid off. Time will only tell if the win will help the Warriors stay in Rugby’s top flight, but will yet more players signing contracts that cover next year all bodes well for the future not matter which division the club finds it’s self in.

After the game there was a Q & A session with Danny Grewcock, Matt Powell and the legend that is Tony Windo. Quite a few fans stayed till 6pm to see them and Danny Grewcock was able to give us some insight into the atmosphere at Croke Park for the Ireland v England game. He also paid glowing tribute to Tony Windo, who is having a well deserved testimonial year this year. The man has played rugby for 20 years and has the respect of all players in the premiership.

The Saint’s lost so the gap is back to just a win but Saint’s have a game in hand which away at high flying Bristol. So fingers crossed it could all go down to the last game of the season….. again!!!! Can my nerves stand it????
