What a week to go on holiday… Not only did I miss the Falcon’s dramatic game but the A league side’s triumph against Northampton Wanderers, with 3 trys by the legend that is
Gavin Quinnell and also missed Chris Horsman getting his first international try, in the Millennium Stadium against England!!! (the only high point for this England fan)
So where does that leave The Warriors then? One point off the bottom (Northampton Saints on the bottom) with 3 games to play. 2 away, Bristol and London Irish and the last game of the season against
Saracens at Sixways… Saints have the same scenario with Newcastle Falcons and Wasps away and then London Irish at home on the last day of the season… It’s déjà vu all over
again.!!
Still it makes for an interesting end to the season, the top 6 teams in the Premiership trying to gain Heineken Cup places and the bottom 2 teams trying to survive. All going to show that relegation
and promotion puts bums on seats. But just what the ramifications of one of the richest teams in the country going down (That’s Saints) only time will tell. The same question was posed when
Harlequins were relegated in Warriors first season in the top flight. Can a club that prestigious survive a season or 2 in National Division 1?? Quins did… Not that it’s set in stone,
not in the least. With 4 points for a win and losing and 4 try bonus points anything can still happen and the way this season has panned out, it probably will!!!!
No need for manicures for til the end of April!!!!!
