Out of the way it’s now down to the nitty gritty of Premiership Rugby and Worcester Warriors continuing in the top flight.
The success Worcester have had in the European Challenge Cup in finishing the best qualified team from the pool stages ahs to have a positive knock on effect for some very challenging games coming up
in the Premiership. The Warriors were unlucky to lose away at Newcastle early on in the New Year, one of 6 away games the Warriors have had of the 10 league matches played.
This leaves more home games to play than away games. On paper that sounds good but I think both the fans and the Warriors have been suffering a bit from nerves at Sixways. We were so used to getting
close to decent results at home that the recent run of poor results has left all concerned at Wuss holding their breath a little!!!
The Saturday sees the return to Sixways of John Brain in his new role as forwards coach at Bristol Rugby. The last time Bristol played here they were badly underestimated and made us pay dearly for
that mistake. I doubt very much the same error will be made this time and the forward battle will decide the game with out a doubt.
I nervousness I feel is going to be blown away in a torrent of noise that I will be generating in support of the Warriors on Saturday. Instead of holding back and waiting to see how the game pans out
I will put all my effort into making as much noise in support of the players as I can. It may sound trite but the alternative is chewing my nails so as stress relief, noise making is a far more
positive alternative.
So if you are going to the game on Saturday be prepared to make noise. Some say that they will cheer when the Warriors give them something to cheer about, but I think they could do with a bit of help
on Saturday to get over the losing streak and dispel the doubts of Premiership survival once and for all!!!
COME ON YOU WARRIORS!!!!!!
