I am 34 years old, married with a 4 year old daughter.
I have lived in Worcester for the last 9 years, having grown up in the Isle of Wight. I am currently studying to be a life coach, specialising in career and confidence coaching, training with
Europe's largest coaching organisation.
I use my coaching skills to work with people on a 1 to 1 basis to reach their potential in life either face to face or over the phone.
I also work full time in retail management, having worked as a manager with Tesco, Sainsburys and Kwik Save (all in Worcester) and currently work for Wal-Mart Asda in Birmingham (and hopefully in
Worcester when they get planning permission although i have been told by 2 colleagues in Queslett store that im not allowed to leave!!).
I have a wide variety of interests including sport, fashion, personal development, films and several other quirky things such as juggling and sign language. I look forward to hearing from
you
I was interested to read today in the news that apparently today (8th January) is the day that lawyers expect a record number of divorce applications indeed January is statistically the highest month for divorce proceedings to be issued. I thought this ironic as it comes just a month before valentines day!
I feel compelled to write this blog purely for one reason after I have read the article on this website and seen in the Berrow's Worcester Journal about Heidi Stone and her daughter who are raising money for Breast Cancer Care.Firstly and obviously I would urge everyone to go and buy one of these from Barbarella in Worcester to support a worthy cause.
Well apparently....men and women can be friends according to the people of worcester! But that depends on whether you are the one with the friend of the opposite sex, or your partner...! Read on to see what the people of worcester (yes you!) have to say.
During a discussion with a client last night (yes I work in the evenings too!) an interesting topic of conversation occured that led to a bit of a debate after the session had ended....men and women can they be just friends...?
So how are the New Year's resolutions going? I was contacted today by an extremely focussed and motivated woman who shared her goals for the year with me. She articulated what she wanted to achieve for the year ahead and I am pleased to tell you that she seems well on the way to achieving everything she wants.
Thanks to everybody who emailed me about their New Year's resolutions. I am as always impressed by people who are determined to make a change in their life FOR THE BETTER.
The stressful time is now mostly over (except those of you that still have kids off school running round your ankles!) so now we come to the time of year when we feel under pressure to make a statement to change something in our lives; to make a difference; be a better person - yes its New Year's Resolution time! We have all set these 'goals' at one time or another...but how can we make sure we achieve them? Read on...
The big day is over...the mince pies are gone (but dont worry theres still enough turkey to sink a battle ship!)so how was your Christmas? Statistically Christmas holidays are the worst time of year for causing arguments, especially between partners. Being confined to a house with people you know but dont like (rather than the ones you dont know but Do like which might actually be fun!)is a receipe for disaster...read on!
Nearly the big day .... are you dreading it? Taking Christmas in your stride is something that some people find impossible - will the turkey defrost in time? - Will I get on with the In-laws? - Will the kids like their presents? To be able to tackle these and many other issues in our lives it is essential that we learn to use and project our inner confidence.
I am currently working with a client who has a responsible job and puts his heart and soul into it. He works long hours for little or no thanks. He is trying to build a career in retail as a manager and is on this retailers trainee manager program. The perception most people have of others they meet for the first time is mostly derived from what is first spoken and initial appearances - two fairly superficial things. We form long held opinions on people based on our initial contact. So as a trainee manager what did people think of my client?
Confidence...who has it? Who flaunts it? And more importantly who fakes it? We all meet people everyday of our lives who fit into one of these 3 catagories but it is not always easy to tell which is which...unless you know the signs!
"So what is life coaching?" I hear you ask. Well life coaching is best put simply as 'empowering people to reach their potential in life'. I work with people mostly on a one-to-one basis and the service is completely confidential.
Thursday night...another fun (?) filled day of work, meetings and more work...! I have now plonked myself in front of the television to unwind for the day...so i thought i would add my account of the day for you all to see...and reflect on my first Chamber of Commerce network breakfast meeting - what an eye opener!
What a day yesterday was...even though it was my day off it was hectic...christmas shopping (yes Im the smug one who has finished!!) a trip to Asda and my daughter's first nativity play. In the evening I went out with friends for a meal and a humiliating quiz night..but my biggest dilema of the who day was whether or not to overtake a funeral car...
