I have been a Warriors supporter for 4 years and a season ticket holder for the last 2 and go to everything!!.... Well nearly everything. I miss the away games in Europe (and no thats not
because I have a travel ban thank you) and the very occasional domestic away game. I pretty much live and breathe rugby, my Dad played and reffed so it's all his fault...

I am married to a Welshman so the 6 nations is all ways a 'fun' affair, have 2 children, both at Uni, one of which, Jen, has been successfully brainwashed so is also a season ticket holder of 2
years.

Top Warriors moment was beating Tigers last season. Best ever Rugby moment was the Heineken Cup Final last season, Munster v Biarritz at the Millennium Stadium, which was totally brilliant. Rugby
hero.... Peter Winterbottom. Fav Warroir Kai Horstmann.

Feast of Full Backs

This weekend sees the East Stand at Sixways, refurbished and re-named as Slick Systems Stand. It opens with just the seats in place, the debenture and corporate facilities are due to be finished later in the year. But what a feast of outstanding full backs will be on display on Saturday.

Zero days!!!

The countdown on the ComOnYouWarriors.co.uk supporter message board is showing to the Saints game. I am a tad nervous like I am for the first game of every season, but this game is special as it's against Saints.

The wait is nearly over....

It’s been a while since the end of the season and I have tried to give myself some rugby free weeks so as to appreciate the resumption of the Rugby season all the more.

The League has finished.

So now for the European Challenge Cup Final. The Warriors and the fans are in a state of great anticipation as we all hope that the Warriors can pull off a famous win and beat Bath Rugby at Kingsholm on the 25th May.

As the season comes to a close.

The Warriors’ support gets a chance to choose which player has been the best this season. This season has been one of downs and ups, with all the ups coming at the end. With the Warriors poised to take a Heineken Cup place next season things have never looked better even though there have been very few Guinness Premiership wins.

Wilko and Co

So ECC semi against the Falcons on a Friday night at Sixways. This is a must win game according to Steve Bates the Newcastle coach “Our season is all geared up towards this game, and I am expecting a huge effort from the boys on the night.” and Mike Ruddock states "Playing in the European Challenge Cup has greatly benefited our team as a whole."

Three more League games to go..

As the season draws to a close it’s quite nice to be looking forward to a final league game that will not have relegation riding on it. Hopefully we and the Warriors will enjoy a day of stress free rugby with boys being able to express themselves for a change, instead of being on tenter hooks for 80 minutes.

Well that's my 50th out of the way!!!

And what a great day I had. My daughter Jen had paid for the tickets to the European Challenge Cup semi final against Montpellier at Sixways so I decided we would go the whole hog and partake of match day hospitality too. So we booked into box 5 of the South Stand with 9 friends, 2 of whom had birthdays too and 2 others their wedding anniversary.

March weather

March has been a month of some particularly tricky weather to play rugby in, to say the least. Going into a series of games, Sale Sharks – away, Leicester Tigers – home, Leeds Carnegie – Home and Gloucester – home I would have been happy with getting 7 points, 3 losing bonuses and a win. Well it just goes to show how un-ambitious I was!! We have ended up with a glorious run of; played 4 won 3 drawn 1.

Not long now..

Until the end of the season. 5 more Guinness Premiership games and at least one more European Challenge Cup game.

My passion for the Warriors.

Well despite the current bad run, I still follow the Warriors with as much passion as before, but to say that my patience is being tested is an understatement. I will always be a Warriors supporter that will never change but at the moment it is very, very hard to watch them self destruct so completely as they seem to be managing currently.

Christmas, New Year and Colds,

Out of the way it’s now down to the nitty gritty of Premiership Rugby and Worcester Warriors continuing in the top flight.

I am still in awe….

After watching Rico Gear play for The Warriors on Saturday. He has to one of if on the best players I have seen at Sixways. There have been a few, Thomas Castaignède, Geordan Murphy are two more. The sort of player, that when they get the ball you hold your breath and wait to see what they are going to do, especially when they are playing for the opposition.

Well you could knock me down with a feather!!!

Rico Gear is here in Worcester!! It is just quite surreal, I really can’t quite get my head around the fact one of the world’s best wingers is going to pull on a Warriors shirt in the very near future. We have had some very good signings, who are all now here and fit. But Rico is the most impressive. Along with Sam Tuitupou things could get very very interesting at Sixways.

I have been a bit quiet of late.

Just holding my breath a while to see how long the Warriors can keep up their winning streak. After the loss to the Ospreys things didn’t look like the could get any worse and the boys then pulled out a good away win at Quins and a very hard fought one in torrential rain against Bucuresti in Romania.

Posted at 7:34pm Monday 29th October 2007

What a team the Ospreys are

14 Welsh Internationals and a couple of Kiwis that put The Warriors well and truly to the sword. It wasn't pretty viewing for the Worcester fans, it hurts to see your side totally outplayed and given a lesson in how to play attractive rugby. It was never going to be easy against a side that good and the Warriors looked totally overwhelmed by the end of the match.

First of all…

2 Notes to self….

Posted at 9:51pm Friday 12th October 2007

Well it’s the same old story for the Warriors,

Too many penalties, too many handling errors and too many turnovers. The Ruddock Revolution has yet to arrive it seems. Bottom of the table here we are again. Losing to Leeds this weekend is just indicative of the poor display the Warriors continue put on for their devoted fans.

Posted at 11:47am Sunday 30th September 2007

Rome wasn’t built in a day or..

Another bad day at the office. A high penalty count, too many turn overs and handling errors against, probably this year’s league winners, Gloucester, led to a 29 - 7 score line at Kingsholm. It was never going to be a Warriors win but they were their own worst enemy on Saturday night.
