STARTING earlier this month, two new changes took effect. They are designed to help support modern working families, and have been introduced by the Government.
RATIONING holidays abroad and at home have become the new policies from the Conservative Party. Readers will need to watch out, because their holiday plans may be scuppered.
In 2005, people in Worcester, through church groups or the wider trade justice movement or simply as concerned individuals, demanded that we take action to help the world’s poorest people.
The serious risks of climate change are beyond dispute, and as individuals we all have a part to play in doing our bit. But I urge caution on some of the more zealous attitudes displayed by some arguing for changes. There are always going to be conflicts between what is good for the environment and what might be good for us in other aspects.
Two weeks ago, the Conservative leader of the county council predicted that a unitary council for Worcestershire, while keeping the local parish and town councils, would save £15m each year.
