MISS Milly Limited, a wholesale jewellery supplier based at Holt, near Worcester, has turned into a little gem. Based at Top Barn Business Centre, it has won a Scoot Headline Award in a national campaign to find Britain’s most successful companies. Miss Milly competed against more than 400 other nominations and will be presented with a trophy and certificate at a ceremony in Millbank Tower, London on April 28.

Following the Scoot Headline Award success, Miss Milly owner Sarah Whatmore has been invited to have her winning paper published in The National Business Leaders Yearbook, the leading work of reference on successful business techniques and best practice, so that others can follow her lead and learn from the achievement.

Ms Whatmore said: "Miss Milly is a micro business competing on a national level and servicing customers all around the UK and overseas from a base in rural Worcestershire. I am really excited about this award, which shows that it is possible for anybody to build a successful business and brand if they are dedicated and passionate enough. This is a fantastic start to a new year, coinciding with the launch of our latest spring and summer jewellery and scarves as well as our new children's brand, Little Miss Milly. So 2014 looks set to be the best yet.”
