VEHICLE tuning specialist Viezu Technologies, which was given a Queen’s Award for Enterprise earlier this year, has officially received the honour from the Lord Lieutenant of Worcestershire Lt Col Patrick Holcroft.

The award recognises the outstanding innovation the Bromsgrove based company has shown with its fuel-saving and emissions-cutting engine management software BlueOptimize, which has saved more than 200,000 tons of carbon emissions since it was created in 2011.

Addressing Viezu’s team, Col Holcroft said: “The first thing to say is how brilliantly you’ve done to have won. May I congratulate you all very warmly on the award, which I’m thrilled on behalf of Her Majesty to present.”

Viezu Technologies chief executive Paul Busby said: "Everyone in our team can be truly proud of what they’ve achieved in earning this award. I’m confident that the commendation will propel us to greater success, helping us to continue playing a positive part in the Midlands’ motor industry and contributing to wider growth in the UK economy.”

Viezu’s expertise in vehicle efficiency has led to some of Europe's largest fleet operators choosing its products, with thousands of installations saving corporates millions in fuel. Homeserve is the most recent company to install BlueOptimize on its extensive fleet of light commercial vehicles, saving it up to 15 per cent on its fuel costs.
